The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Magnús konungur fór um haustið allt austur til landsenda og
var hann til konungs tekinn um allt land og varð allt
landsfólk því fegið er Magnús var konungur orðinn.

Það sama haust andaðist Knútur hinn ríki í Englandi Idus
Novembris. Hann var jarðaður í Vincestur. Þá hafði hann verið
konungur yfir Danmörk sjö vetur og tuttugu en bæði og yfir
Englandi fjóra vetur og tuttugu en þar með yfir Noregi sjö
vetur. Þá var til konungs tekinn á Englandi Haraldur sonur
Knúts. Þann sama vetur andaðist Sveinn Alfífuson í Danmörk.

Þjóðólfur kvað svo um Magnús konung:

Aur spornuðuð, arnar

ilrjóðr, af Svíþjóðu.

Herr fylgdi þér, harri,

hraustr í Noreg austan.

Flýði Sveinn, en síðan,

sannráðinn frá láði,

erlendis frá eg undan

Alfífu son drífa.

Bjarni Gullbrárskáld orti um Kálf Árnason:

Hafa léstu unga jöfra

erfð, sem til réð hverfa.

Satt er, að sitja knátti

Sveinn að Danmörk einni.

Kennduð, Kálfr, til landa

kappfúsum Magnúsi,

olluð þér því er stillir

jörð um fékk, úr Görðum.

Magnús konungur var þann vetur yfir Noregi en Hörða-Knútur
yfir Danmörk.
