The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Magnús konungur byrjaði ferð sína úr landi og hafði með sér
lið mikið og frítt og góðan skipakost. Hélt hann liði því
vestur um haf og fyrst til Orkneyja. Hann tók höndum jarlana
Pál og Erlend og sendi þá báða austur í Noreg en setti eftir
Sigurð son sinn til höfðingja yfir eyjunum og fékk honum
ráðuneyti. Magnús konungur hélt liði sínu til Suðureyja. En
er hann kom þar tók hann þegar að herja og brenna byggðina en
drap mannfólkið og rændu allt þar er þeir fóru. En landslýður
flýði undan víðs vegar en sumir inn í Skotlandsfjörðu en
sumir suður í Saltíri eða út til Írlands. Sumir fengu grið og
veittu handgöngu.

Svo segir Björn krepphendi:

Lék um Ljóðhús fíkjum

limsorg nær himni.

Vítt var ferð á flótta

fús. Gaus eldr úr húsum.

Ör skjöldungr fór eldi

Ívist. Bændr misstu,

róggeisla vann ræsir

rauðan, lífs og auðar.

Hungrþverrir lét herjað

hríðar gagls á Skíði.

Tönn rauð Tyrvist innan

teitr vargr í ben marga.

Grætti Grenlands drottinn,

gekk hátt Skota stökkvir,

þjóð rann mýlsk til mæði,

meyjar suðr í eyjum.
