Erlingur skakki tók skip þau öll í Túnsbergi er Hákon
konungur átti. Þar fékk hann Bækisúðina er Ingi konungur
hafði átt. Erlingur fór síðan og lagði undir Magnús alla
Víkina og svo norður allt sem hann fór og sat um veturinn í
Björgyn. Þá lét Erlingur drepa Ingibjörn sipil, lendan mann
Hákonar konungs, norður í Fjörðum.
Hákon konungur sat í Þrándheimi um veturinn en eftir um vorið
bauð hann út leiðangri og bjóst að fara suður til móts við
Erling. Þar voru þá með honum Sigurður jarl, Jón Sveinsson,
Eindriði ungi og Önundur Símonarson, Filippus Pétursson,
Filippus Gyrðarson, Rögnvaldur kunta, Sigurður kápa, Sigurður
hjúpa, Frírekur kæna, Áskell á Forlandi, Þorbjörn sonur
Gunnars gjaldkera, Strað-Bjarni.
