Eysteinn konungur Haraldsson var staddur austur í Vík nær
landsenda. Hann var ósáttur við bændur, Reni og Hísingsbúa.
Gerðu þeir safnað að honum en hann hélt við þá orustu og
hafði sigur. Þar heitir Leikberg er þeir börðust. Hann
brenndi og mjög víða í Hísing. Síðan gengu bændur til handa
og guldu gjöld stór en konungur tók gísla af þeim.
Svo segir Einar Skúlason:
Víkverjum galt,
varð þannug hallt,
gerræði gramr,
gjöfmildr og framr.
Flest fólk var hrætt,
áðr fengi sætt,
en gísla tók
sá er gjöldin jók.
Vann siklingr sótt
við snarpa drótt,
leyfð er lýðum bær,
Leikbergi nær.
Renir flýðu ríkt
og reiddu slíkt,
öld festi auð,
sem öðlingr bauð.
