Haraldur konungur Guðinason var þar kominn með her óvígjan,
bæði riddara og fótgangandi menn. Haraldur konungur
Sigurðarson reið þá um fylking sína og skynjaði hvernig fylkt
var. Hann sat á svörtum hesti blesóttum. Hesturinn féll undir
honum og konungur af fram.

Stóð hann upp skjótt og mælti: "Fall er fararheill."

Þá mælti Haraldur Englakonungur til Norðmanna þeirra er með
honum voru: "Kennduð þér þann hinn mikla mann er þar féll af
hestinum við hinn blá kyrtil og hinn fagra hjálm?"

"Þar er konungur sjálfur," sögðu þeir.

Englakonungur segir: "Mikill maður og ríkmannlegur og er
vænna að farinn sé að hamingju."
