The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

En er Haraldur konungur sá að fylking enskra manna var komin
ofan með díkinu gegnt þeim þá lét hann blása herblásturinn og
eggjaði herinn ákaflega, lét þá fram bera merkið Landeyðuna,
snaraði þá atgönguna svo harða að allt hrökk fyrir. Gerðist
þá mannfall mikið í liði jarla. Snerist þá liðið brátt á
flótta, flýði sumt upp með ánni og ofan en flest fólkið hljóp
út á díkið. Lá þar svo þykkt valurinn að Norðmenn máttu ganga
þurrfætis yfir fenið. Þar týndist Mörukári jarl.

Svo segir Steinn Herdísarson:

Þjóð fórst mörg í móðu.

Menn drukknuðu sokknir.

Drengr lá ár um ungan

ófár Mörukára.

Fira drottinn rak flótta

framr. Tók her á ramri

rás fyr röskum vísa.

Ríklundaðr veit undir.

Þessa drápu orti Steinn Herdísarson um Ólaf, son Haralds
konungs, og getur hér þess að Ólafur var í orustu með Haraldi
konungi föður sínum.

Þessa getur og í Haraldsstikka:

Lágu fallnir

í fen ofan

Valþjófs liðar,

vopnum höggnir,

svo að gunnhvatir

ganga máttu

Norðmenn yfir

að nám einum.

Valþjófur jarl og það lið er undan komst flýði upp til
borgarinnar Jork. Var þar hið mesta mannfall. Orusta var
miðvikudag næsta dag fyrir Mattheusmessu.
