Her Haralds konungs safnaðist saman í Sólundum.

En er Haraldur konungur var búinn að leggja út úr Niðarósi þá
gekk hann áður til skríns Ólafs konungs og lauk upp og
klippti hár hans og negl og læsti síðan skríninu en kastaði
luklunum út á Nið og hefir ekki síðan upp verið lokið skríni
hins helga Ólafs konungs. Þá var liðið frá falli hans hálfur
fjórði tugur vetra. Hann lifði og hálfan fjórða tug vetra hér
í heimi.

Haraldur konungur hélt því liði er honum fylgdi suður til
móts við lið sitt. Þar kom saman lið mikið svo að það er sögn
manna að Haraldur konungur hefði nær tveimur hundruðum skipa
og umfram vistabyrðingar og smáskútur.

Þá er þeir lágu í Sólundum þá dreymdi mann þann er var á
konungsskipinu er Gyrður er nefndur. Hann þóttist þar vera
staddur á konungsskipinu og sá upp á eyna hvar tröllkona
mikil stóð og hafði skálm í hendi en í annarri hendi trog.
Hann þóttist og sjá yfir öll skip þeirra að honum þótti fugl
sitja á hverjum skipstafni. Það voru allt ernir og hrafnar.

Tröllkonan kvað:

Víst er að allvaldr austan

eggjast vestr að leggja

mót við marga knútu,

minn snúðr er það, prúða.

Kná valþiður velja,

veit ærna sér beitu,

steik af stillis haukum

stafns. Fylgi eg því jafnan.
