Haraldur konungur sat um veturinn í Niðarósi. Hann lét reisa
skip um veturinn út á Eyrum. Það var bússuskip. Skip það var
gert eftir vexti Orms hins langa og vandað að öllu sem mest.
Var drekahöfuð á frammi en aftur krókur og voru svírarnir
allir gulli búnir. Það var hálffertugt að rúmatali og mikið
að því og var hið fríðasta. Lét konungur allan búnað vanda
til skipsins, bæði segl og reipareiða, akkeri og strengi.



Haraldur konungur gerði boð um veturinn suður til Danmerkur
Sveini konungi að hann skyldi eftir um vorið koma sunnan til
Elfar til móts við sig og berjast svo að þeir skiptu þá
löndum "og hafi annar hvor bæði konungsríkin."
