The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Þá er Haraldur var kominn til Miklagarðs utan af Jórsalalandi
fýsti hann að fara í Norðurlönd til óðala sinna. Hafði hann
þá spurt að Magnús Ólafsson bróðurson hans var orðinn
konungur í Noregi og svo í Danmörk. Sagði hann þá upp
þjónustu við Grikkjakonung.

En er Zóe drottning varð þessa vör varð hún reið mjög og hóf
upp sakagiftir við Harald, taldi það að hann mundi hafa
misfarið með Grikkjakonungs fé því er fengist hafði í hernaði
þá er Haraldur hafði verið höfðingi yfir herinum.

María hét ein mær, ung og fríð. Hún var bróðurdóttir Zóe
drottningar. Þeirrar meyjar hafði Haraldur beðið en drottning
synjaði. Svo hafa sagt Væringjar norður hingað, þeir er verið
hafa í Miklagarði á mála, að sú sögn væri þar höfð af fróðum
mönnum að Zóe drottning vildi sjálf hafa Harald sér til manns
og sú sök væri reyndar mest við Harald er hann vildi brott
fara úr Miklagarði þó að annað væri upp borið fyrir alþýðu.
Þá var sá Grikkjakonungur er hét Konstantínus Mónomakus. Hann
réð ríkinu með Zóe drottningu.

Af þessum sökum lét Grikkjakonungur taka höndum Harald og
færa hann til dýflissu.
