Haraldur fór með liði sínu út til Jórsalalands, fór þá síðan
yfir til Jórsalaborgar. En hvar sem hann fór um Jórsalaland
voru allar borgir og kastalar gefnir í vald hans.

Svo segir Stúfur skáld er heyrt hafði konunginn sjálfan frá
þessum tíðindum segja:

Fór ofrhugi hinn efri

eggdjarfr und sig leggja,

fold var víga valdi

virk, Jórsali úr Girkjum.

Ok með ærnu ríki

óbrunnin kom gunnar

heimil jörð und herði.

Hafi ríks þars vel líkar.

Hér segir frá því að þetta land kom óbrunnið og óherjað í
vald Haralds. Fór hann þá út til Jórdanar og laugaði sig þar
sem háttur er til annarra pálmara. Haraldur varði stórfé til
grafar drottins og kross hins helga og til annarra heilagra
dóma á Jórsalalandi. Þá friðaði hann veginn allt út til
Jórdanar og drap raufara og annað hernaðarfólk.

Svo segir Stúfur:

Stóðust ráð og reiði,

rann það svikum manna,

Egða grams á ýmsum

orð Jórdanar borðum.

Enn fyr afgerð sanna,

illa gát, frá stilli

þjóð fékk vísan voða,

vist um aldr með Kristi.

Þá fór hann aftur til Miklagarðs.
