The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):



Haraldur konungur var þá áttræður að aldri. Gerðist hann þá
þungfær svo að hann þóttist eigi mega fara yfir land eða
stjórna konungsmálum. Þá leiddi hann Eirík son sinn til
hásætis síns og gaf honum vald yfir landi öllu.



En er það spurðu aðrir synir Haralds konungs þá settist
Hálfdan svarti í konungshásæti. Tók hann þá til forráða allan
Þrándheim. Hurfu að því ráði allir Þrændir með honum.



Eftir fall Bjarnar kaupmanns tók Ólafur bróðir hans ríki yfir
Vestfold og til fósturs Guðröð son Bjarnar. Tryggvi hét sonur
Ólafs. Voru þeir Guðröður fóstbræður og nær jafnaldrar og
báðir hinir efnilegstu og atgervimenn miklir. Tryggvi var
hverjum manni meiri og sterkari.



En er Víkverjar spurðu að Hörðar höfðu tekið til yfirkonungs
Eirík þá tóku þeir Ólaf til yfirkonungs í Víkinni og hélt
hann því ríki. Þetta líkaði Eiríki stórilla.



Tveim vetrum síðar varð Hálfdan svarti bráðdauður inn í
Þrándheimi að veislu nokkurri og var það mál manna að
Gunnhildur konungamóðir hefði keypt að fjölkunnigri konu að
gera honum banadrykk. Eftir það tóku Þrændir Sigröð til
konungs.
