The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):



Eftir það lagði Haraldur konungur undir sig Sunn-Mæri.
Vémundur bróðir Auðbjarnar konungs hélt Firðafylki og gerðist
konungur yfir. Þetta var síðla of haustið og gera menn það
ráð með Haraldi konungi að hann skyldi eigi fara suður um
Stað á haustdegi. Þá setti hann Rögnvald jarl yfir Mæri
hvoratveggju og Raumsdal. Hafði hann um sig mikið fjölmenni.
Haraldur konungur sneri þá norður aftur til Þrándheims.



Þann sama vetur fór Rögnvaldur jarl hið innra og svo suður of
Fjörðu. Hann hafði njósn af Vémundi konungi og kom um nótt
þar sem heitir Naustdalur. Var Vémundur konungur þar á
veislu. Rögnvaldur jarl tók hús á þeim og brenndi þar inni
Vémund konung með átta tigu manna.



Eftir það kom Berðlu-Kári til Rögnvalds jarls með langskip
alskipað og fóru þeir báðir norður á Mæri. Tók Rögnvaldur
jarl skip þau er átt hafði Vémundur konungur og allt lausafé
það er hann fékk. Berðlu-Kári fór norður til Þrándheims á
fund Haralds konungs og gerðist hans maður. Hann var
berserkur mikill.
