Gamli Eiríksson, þá er hann kom upp á hálsinn fyrir ofan
bergið, þá snerist hann aftur og sá þá að ekki lið fór eftir
meira en það er þeir höfðu áður barist við og þetta var
prettur einn. Þá lét Gamli konungur blása herblástur og setja
upp merki og skaut á fylking. Hurfu að því allir Norðmenn en
Danir flýðu til skipanna.

En er Hákon konungur og hans lið kom að þá varð þar orusta í
annað sinn hin snarpasta. Hafði þá Hákon konungur meira lið.
Lauk svo að Eiríkssynir flýðu. Sóttu þeir þá suður af
hálsinum en sumt lið þeirra opaði suður á bergið og fylgdi
Hákon konungur þeim. Völlur sléttur er austan af hálsinum og
vestur á bergið og þá hamrar brattir vestur af. Þá opuðu menn
Gamla upp undan á bergið en Hákon konungur sótti að þeim svo
djarflega að hann drap suma en sumir hljópu vestur af berginu
og voru hvorirtveggju drepnir og skildist konungur svo fremi
við er hvert barn var dautt.
