The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):



En er hljóð fékkst þá svaraði Sigurður jarl: "Það er vilji
Hákonar konungs að samþykkja við yður bændur og láta aldrei
skilja yðra vináttu."



Bændur segja að þeir vilja að konungur blóti til árs þeim og
friðar svo sem faðir hans gerði. Staðnar þá kurrinn og slíta
þeir þinginu.



Síðan talaði Sigurður jarl við konung að hann skyldi eigi
fyrirtaka með öllu að gera sem bændur vildu, segir að eigi
mundi annað hlýða: "Er þetta konungur, sem sjálfir þér megið
heyra, vilji og ákafi höfðingja og þar með alls fólks. Skulum
vér konungur hér finna til gott ráð nokkuð."



Og samdist það með þeim konungi og jarli.
