The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Haraldur konungur gráfeldur og Guðröður konungur bróðir hans
draga saman her mikinn austan úr landi og héldu liði því
norður til Þrándheims.

En er það spyr Hákon jarl þá safnaði hann liði að sér og hélt
suður á Mæri og herjar. Þar var þá Grjótgarður, föðurbróðir
hans, og skyldi hafa landvörn af Gunnhildarsonum. Hann bauð
her út svo sem konungar höfðu orð til sent. Hákon jarl hélt
til fundar við hann og til bardaga. Þar féll Grjótgarður og
tveir jarlar með honum og mart lið annað.

Þessa getur Einar skálaglamm:

Hjálmgrápi vann hilmir

harðr, Lofts vinar, barða,

því kom vöxtr í Vínu

vínheims, fjandr sína,

og forsnjallir féllu

fúrs í Þróttar skúrum,

þat fær þjóðar snytri,

þrír jarlssynir, tírar.

Síðan sigldi Hákon jarl út til hafs og svo útleið suður með
landi. Hann kom fram suður í Danmörk, fór þá á fund Haralds
Gormssonar Danakonungs, fær þar góðar viðtökur, dvaldist með
honum um veturinn.

Þar var og með Danakonungi maður sá er Haraldur hét. Hann var
sonur Knúts Gormssonar, bróðursonur Haralds konungs. Hann var
kominn úr víking, hafði lengi herjað og fengið óf lausafjár.
Hann var kallaður Gull-Haraldur. Hann þótti vel til kominn að
vera konungur í Danmörk.
