The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Nú koma þau Þorsteinn til Húsafells og voru þar komnir áður
margir boðsmenn og þar var Þórður Kolbeinsson og var veislan
góð. Hann tók vel við Þorsteini og fannst um færra en ella
mundi ef hann hefði eigi gist hjá Birni.

Og eftir hinn átta dag fór Þórður heim á Hítarnes og þau
Þorsteinn með honum og voru þar þá það er eftir var jólanna.
En eftir jólin spyr Þorsteinn Þórð ef hann vill trúa honum
til að gera um mál þeirra Bjarnar og kvað hann því játað
hafa.

Þórður kvað það vænlegt þykja. "En það þótti mér kynlegt,"
segir hann, "að þú sast hjá Birni um hríðina."

Þorsteinn kvað þó óvænlegra að ráðast út í foraðsveðrum og
stefna sér til örkumla og mönnum sínum.

Vakið hafði Þorsteinn við Dálk um sáttirnar áður hann riði
þaðan og var hann ótregur að Þorsteinn skipaði með þeim. Nú
kemur hann mjög oft á málið við Þórð og varð hann í öllu
tregari en Dálkur. Þorsteinn kvað það þó mundu mál manna að
þeir hefðu góða nefnd um sættir þótt hann gerði, kvað ungt
vinfengi þeirra Bjarnar. Því kom þar máli við umtölur
Þorsteins að Þórður játti og allir þeir hans ummælum.
