Það hafði verið um sumarið að Kolli hinn prúði var ungur að
Björn kom til leiðar en sveinninn rann þar nokkurra vetra
gamall og hið fríðasta mannsefni. Björn spurði hvers son
sveinninn væri en maður svaraði honum og kvað vera son Þórðar
Kolbeinssonar og heita Kolla.
Björn kvað vísu:
Leit eg, hvar rann hjá runni
runnr dökkmara gunnar,
ægilegr í augum,
að líki mér, víka.
Kveða þreyjendr þeygi
það barn vita Mörnar
Heita humra brautar
hlunns, sinn föður, kunna.
Ekki varð breytt um faðerni Kolla þótt Björn þætti hríðum
mæla um í vísum sínum hver von honum þótti á vera.
