Einarr intercedes with King Eysteinn Haraldsson on behalf of a minstrel, Jarlmaðr, whom the king wants to punish because he took the kid of a goat and ate it on a Friday. The king stipulates that Jarlmaðr must be whipped for as long as it takes Einarr to compose the st.
