The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Þar er nú til að taka er Vagn er Ákason. Hann vex nú upp heima með föður sínum á Fjóni, en stundum með Véseta afa sínum. Hann er maður svo óeirinn í sínum uppruna, að það er helzt sagt til marks um hans skaplyndi, að þá er hann var níu vetra gamall, þá hafði hann drepið þrjá menn. Hann er nú heima þar til er hann er tólf vetra gamall, og er þá svo komið að menn þóttust trautt mega umb hræfa hans skaplyndi og ofsa. Hann gerist og svo illgerðasamur að öngu vætta vildi hann eira.

Og nú þykjast hans frændur eigi vita hvað úr skyldi ráða þessu vandræði.

Og nú er það ráð tekið, að Áki faðir hans fær honum hálft hundrað manna og þar með eitt langskip. En annað lið jafnmikið fær honum Véseti afi hans og þar með annað langskip, og er engi maður sá er honum fylgir eldri en tvítugur að aldri og engi æri en átján vetra gamall, nema Vagn sjálfur. Hann var tólf vetra gamall. Hann biður sér ekki fleira fá en nú var frá sagt: hundrað liðs og tvö langskip, og lézt einskis fleira við þurfa; kvaðst sjálfur mundu fá sér vistir og það annað er þeir þyrfti að hafa.
