After the reconciliation between Magnús and Haraldr, they launched a joint attack on Denmark the following year (1047), and after Magnús’s death (1047), Haraldr harried in Denmark almost every summer. His raids on Denmark culminated in the battle of the Nissan (Niz) in 1062 and his final victory over Sveinn Úlfsson.

Haraldr and his nephew Magnús Óláfsson met in Norway (1046), and Haraldr gave Magnús treasures which he had brought back from Greece. In return, Magnús granted Haraldr joint sovereignty in Norway.
