Notes: [All]: According to Sv, this helmingr was the refrain in Blakkr’s poem (ÍF 30, 176): Blakkr orti erfidrápu um Breiðskegg, ok var þetta stefit í ‘Blakkr composed a memorial poem about Breiðskeggr and this was the refrain in it’. — [2] Breiðskeggi: The weak variant of the nickname Breiðskeggr was chosen by the poet because the metre requires an additional syllable.
