sól at hyrfi jarðar hjóli,
hreinust fórn ok heilǫg smurning
honum greiddiz þegar nauðsyn beiddi;
siðreynir gaf sér ok ǫðrum
síðast harðla blessan fríða,
eptir þat stóð ljóss í lopti
lengi kross fyr augum drengja.
