Þá spurði Sigmundr ef hann hafi nǫkkut fundit í mjǫlinu. ‘Eigi er mér grunlaust,’ sagði hann, ‘at eigi hafi í verit nǫkkut kykt í mjǫlinu fyrst er ek tók at knoða, ok hér hefi ek með knoðat þat er í var.’
