Orð guðs kendi ágæt fyrðum
elsu kunnr af spektar brunni;
fyrir því varð, sem frægt er orðit,
feyjandi sár maðkr at deyja;
síðan sleikti sæll ok mýkti
synda þunga linri tungu;
feiti smurði ástvinr ýta
ǫllum trúr ok víni súru.
