Liðit er nú sízt hann var heðra
hundrað ára (svá hǫfum fundit),
aukaz þar til enn at líku
átta vetr, sem ritning váttar;
aldri þverr í efrum ǫldum,
einart vex fyr sannar greinir,
frægðin hans ok fagrar dygðir;
finnaz þar til sǫgur ok minni.
