Brandr ǫðlaðiz blíðan enda,
byskupsdóm er helt með sóma,
æskiliga, með aldri rǫskum,
andláts tíð ok grǫpt enn fríða;
lofstyrkan kom lýðr ok klerkar
(ljóst mál er þat) hirði at kjósa;
greiddiz ór með góðum ráðum,
Guðmund hafa þeir allir fundit.
