Context: Snorri tells how the names of famous dynasties, including the Skjǫldungar (descended from Skjǫldr in Denmark) have come to be used in poetry as appellations for rulers.

Notes: [All]: The sources identify Arnórr as poet, except ms. A, which names Markús, and U, in which the ll. follow straight on from ÞjóðA Lv 11/5-8.
