Fann skjótliga fimtán sauði

‘Then Dragging-tail quickly set off from home and intends to procure provisions for himself. He soon found fifteen sheep and one of them [was] wonderfully fat.’

[1-2]: The Rask87ˣ variant of these lines, fór dratthali | fljótt að heiman ‘Dragging-tail quickly set off from home’, also makes sense, but the adverbial að heiman ‘from home’ is a later construction.
