Finnur Jónsson (Skj B, followed by Kock in Skald) accordingly emend to siggœðir ‘battle-increaser’ (cf. sig n. ‘battle’). It is not clear whether sigrgœðir means ‘victory-increaser’ or ‘battle-increaser’ in the present context.
