Þórarinn stuttfeldr ‘Short-cloak’ (Þstf) is known only from the episode recounted in
Msona in

H-Hr (H, Hr) and the interpolated mss of

42ˣ), in which he acquired his nickname stuttfeldr (see
Mork 1928-32,
385-7;
Fms 7, 152-5;
F 1871,
299-300;
E 1916,

Sjórs Lv 2. Þórarinn is listed among the poets of Sigurðr jórsalafari ‘Jerusalem-farer’ Magnússon (d. 1130) in
Skáldatal (
SnE 1848-87,

Mork (1928-32, 386), Þórarinn was an Icelander.
