This þula (Þul Spjóts) enumerates heiti for ‘spear’. It is recorded in mss R (main ms.), Tˣ, C, A and B (and 744ˣ) of SnE. In mss A and B it has the heading Spjóts heiti ‘Names for spear’, in A written in red ink. In the þulur-sequence, Þul Spjóts is preceded by Þul Øxar and followed by Þul Ǫrvar in all the mss. Most of the heiti contained in this þula are listed in LaufE (LaufE 1979, 306, 397; mss papp10ˣ(52v), 2368ˣ(132-133), 743ˣ(99v)), but the variants do not allow for an attribution to a specific redaction. The list in LaufE was copied in RE 1665(Ll 3) from a LaufE ms. close to 743ˣ.
