annarr drottins manna
fýstr í faðminn hæsta,
frið bjóðandi þjóðum.
Fekk Andréas yndi
æstr á krossi mæstum
lofandi guðs í lífi
líkjari himinríkis.
Andréas var með bandi
festr á * kross og Kristi
kærr miðviku næri.
Lífið liet með gæfu
ljóss á helgum krossi
föstudag, sá er fýstiz
fagnaðar guðs af magni.
skein yfir krossin hreina,
þá er Andréas endi
aldr, með drottins valdi.
Sá hann guð sjálfr í dauða
sier bjóðandi þjóða
prýðir faðminn fríða;
frægð slík himinríkis.
ágætast fekk sæti;
Andréam sier til yndis
almáttigr guð valdi
— mítis má hann því heita
meginpostulinn kostum
prýddr — og giftu gæddi;
guðs er hann kross á þandur.
