Bǫðvarr eggjar fast sverðit ok þá bragðar í umgjǫrðinni, ok fær hann brugðit umgjǫrðinni, svá at sverðit gengr ór slíðrunum, ok leggr þegar undir bœgi dýrsins ok svá fast, at þegar stóð í hjartanu, ok datt þá dýrit til jarðar dautt niðr.
