When Óðinn's travels to Hel's realm in order to find out what the future holds for his son Baldr, he uncovers and ressurects a dead vǫlva through the use of seiðr in order to question her against her will.

context

When Baldr is plagued by bad dreams Óðinn disguises himself and enters Hel's realm in order to seek answers by resurrecting and questioning a dead vǫlva.

commentary

Óðinn's conflict with the dead, particularly dead women, is well documented in the mythological sources.
