When Óðinn's spell is broken, the undead vǫlva recognises the god and calls him out by naming him 'ancient sacrifice' (aldinn gautr).
When Baldr is plagued by bad dreams Óðinn disguises himself and enters Hel's realm in order to seek answers by resurrecting and questioning a dead vǫlva.
