Þorgrímr does not specify where his magical rite to create trubbles for Gísli would work. Therefore Gísli would still be able to recieve help from people on islands, but not from people on the mainland.

Gísla Saga Súrssonar is one of the Íslendingasögur. The events depicted in the saga take place in Iceland between the years 860 and 980. Gísli is outlawed for the murder of his brother-in-law and is eventually killed after 13 years on the run. The Saga is believed to have been composed in the 13th century.
