The saga of Haraldr Hárfagri tells the story of how one king conquers great parts of what is known as Norway, gaining great authority and changing the face of politics as a ruling power. The saga is part of the great work of Heimskringla, written in the c. 1230's by the Icelander Snorri Sturlusson.
