R. D. Fulk 2017, ‘(Biography of) Styrkárr Oddason’ in Kari Ellen Gade and Edith Marold (eds), Poetry from Treatises on Poetics. Skaldic Poetry of the Scandinavian Middle Ages 3. Turnhout: Brepols, p. 395.
Nothing is known of Styrkárr, though Faulkes (
SnE 1998,
I, 200) notes that he could have been the lawspeaker who died in 1181, according to
Sturlunga saga (ch. 87; see
Stu 1988, I, 114). No other work of his is known to survive.
