Styrkárr Oddason — StyrkárrIII

Vol. 3, 395 —  — ed. R. D. Fulk

R. D. Fulk 2017, ‘(Biography of) Styrkárr Oddason’ in Kari Ellen Gade and Edith Marold (eds), Poetry from Treatises on Poetics. Skaldic Poetry of the Scandinavian Middle Ages 3. Turnhout: Brepols, p. 395.

Nothing is known of Styrkárr, though Faulkes (SnE 1998, I, 200) notes that he could have been the lawspeaker who died in 1181, according to Sturlunga saga (ch. 87; see Stu 1988, I, 114). No other work of his is known to survive.
