Note to Anon Óldr 24I

[3] ór hrǫnnum ‘from the waves’: This slight emendation of ms. ‘hrꜹnvm’, made by all previous eds, gives straightforward sense and syntax. The double consonant also produces a more exact hending on mann, and an aðalhending in an odd line is not unusual in this poem (see Introduction). Cf. Note to st. 5/3 ár* on single/double consonant spellings in Bb.
