[4] fǫður viggs ‘the stallion’s father [HORSE]’: If ms. ‘uigs’ represents vígs ‘of the fight’, a slight emendation to viggs is necessary, resulting in a more fitting description for the fat packhorse than the original vígs faðir ‘father of the fight’ (cf. LP (1860): faðir).
