Note to Ǫlv Þórr 1III

[All]: Because the lines are fragmentary, it is possible to construe them as a complete sentence with a coordinate subject (as here) or as a main clause umgjǫrð allra landa œstisk ‘the encircler of all lands became violent’ with a following incomplete coordinate clause ok sonr Jarðar … ‘and the son of Jǫrð …’. The latter is the interpretation of Skj B.
