[8] á sæ ‘on the sea’: Á lǫg ‘on the sea’ (so 39, E, H) is possible. This prepositional phrase could also go with the second cl.: heit und blés blóði á sæ ‘the hot wound spurted blood onto the sea’ (so Skj B; ÍF 28).
