Finnur Jónsson (Skj B) reads elsku þinnar with faðminn hæsta and interprets the passage: Atter kom en anden af herrens mænd længselsfuld i din kærligheds höjeste favn ‘Again, another of the Lord’s men came yearning into the highest embrace of your love’.
