[All]: Eiríkr left Norway before 1014 (see ÍF 27, xxv) after appointing his son, Hákon, regent. According to the chronology of Nkt, he left in 1012. He later joined his brother-in-law, Knútr inn ríki Sveinsson (Cnut the Great), in England.
