Note to Innsteinn Innkv 5VIII (Hálf 22)

[3] á öxlum ‘on the shoulders [of our men]’: Finnur Jónsson (Skj B) interprets the phrase to refer to Innsteinn’s own shoulders, but this seems a less likely interpretation than one that envisages fire affecting the whole group of men (cf. st. 21/6 öðlings vinum ‘the prince’s friends’).
