[6] böðheggr ‘a battle-tree [WARRIOR]’: This kenning, formed from heggr m. ‘bird cherry’ and böð f. ‘battle’, supplied through emendation by Olsen (Ragn 1906-8, 215-16) (citing Bugge and Finnur Jónsson), and apparently not attested elsewhere (LP: bǫðheggr), is accepted by all subsequent eds including the present.
