[8] loppa (f.) ‘paw’: Loppa denotes a large, fat hand (< Gmc *lumpōn; see AEW: loppa). The word does not otherwise occur in Old Norse poetry, but it is used in the later rímur (Finnur Jónsson 1926-8: loppa).
