[3-4]: A similar long-line, teitir ok reifir | at Trönuvágum ‘happy and cheerful to Trǫnuvágar’ is at Ǫrv 49/5-6. The two adjectives there refer to Oddr and his men. Here, however, the adjectives, which appear to be ill-matched, refer to their opponents, and, presumably in light of this, Skj B emends l. 3 to teitir sleitna, so that teitir ‘happy’ refers to Oddr and his men, and sleitna ‘aggressive’ to their opponents. However all mss are in agreement on the reading given here, also supported by NN §2609.
