[3] tárblómguð ‘adorned with tears’: Kock (NN §1730) reads as a cpd, but translates: Juvligt hopp i tåreblomstring uppstod av fornekelsen ‘Pleasing hope arose from the denial in a flowering of tears’. Finnur Jónsson (Skj B) reads ván tár blomguð vænust and translates: et blomstrende håb, de prægtige tårer ‘a flowering hope, the fair tears’. Cf. sts 40/3-4, 44/1-3 and Notes.
