[4] Sólskel ‘Solskjel’: Lit. ‘sun-shell’, an island south of Smøla (Smyl; see Þul Islands l. 8) in Nordmøre. Haraldr inn hárfagri ‘Fair-hair’ won a naval battle near this island and proceeded to subjugate Møre and Romsdal (see Hkr, ÍF 26, 103).
